Every job has tools and tricks of the trade. Using them properly enhances performance and increases productivity. And, often a tool works differently, depending on the person using it.
I have tools and tricks I use as an industrial electrician. Some are actual physical tools, like various meters. Each has a particular task, and using each depends on the job at hand.
Other tools are more “mental.”
Copywriting and content marketing tasks are the same. There are tools and processes that work effectively for whatever you’re doing. And, just like any tool, some work better than others.
Sometimes, it’s the person using them that makes the difference. Not every person will get the same benefit or see better results for any one tool or trick.
Some can be downright unproductive.
So, in this article, we’ll talk about a few of the tools of the trade I’ve used in building my freelance B2B copywriting biz. There are several categories I’ll cover:
- A tech gadget to increase productivity
- Software to increase business activity
- Mind hacks that keep me moving forward faster
I’ve found several that helped me last year. And this year, I’ve already discovered some with potential. Or, at least they look like they might be useful. Only time and testing will tell.
That said, I already have tools that work for me. I need to make sure that my testing of “new and improved” doesn’t eat up too much valuable time.
Let’s start with a new gadget that actually helps in several ways.
And, I found it in the most unlikely of places: a grocery store.
