As mentioned several times before, I was really moved by Ted Capshaw’s speech at the AWAI Copywriting Bootcamp this year. Ted is an excellent business and life coach. And a very good speaker, to boot.
But more importantly, Ted speaks from the heart, and he gets right down to the nitty-gritty of what you need to grow and succeed.
That’s strong medicine, not always easy to take.
But, necessary medicine if you intend to grow your copywriting business.
At this time every year, I look back at my progress and see how far I’ve come in the past 12 months.
And how far I need to go in the coming 12.
I’ve had a lot of great wins: new clients, better paychecks, more steady work.
But obviously, I’ve a lot of growing to do as well.

So in this blog, I’m going to tell you about what I’ve been thinking and planning in light of Ted’s speech.
He used the acronym, T.I.M.E. It stands for:
- Truth
- Intention
- Meaning
- Entitlement
For this article, I’m going to tackle the first two: Truth and Intention.
Hopefully by sharing my thoughts with you, you’ll be able to take your own business to the next level… and beyond.
Let’s start with the toughest, and most important one: Truth.
